ENDORSED: Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate

The OutFront PAC is proud to endorse Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate. 

We are proud to stand by and support Peggy Flanagan, as she has stood up for our community and will continue to do so. Nearly a dozen former or currently elected members from the LGBTIA2+ community have endorsed Peggy Flanagan; we are proud to stand with those elected officials in this decision. 

From her earliest days doing organizing and outreach with urban Native Communities to her leadership in every elected position she has held, Peggy has shown that she is committed to working WITH community, not just FOR them. She has shown again and again her ability to bring our Minnesota values of connection, compassion, and bravery to in every role she’s had. We know that she is committed to advancing and protecting the rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ people in our state, from her outspoken support of gender-affirming care for adults and youth to her support of our state’s ban on conversion therapy.

OutFront Minnesota is committed to centering the people who are most impacted by the intersecting injustices that exist in our state and country, and Peggy is committed to addressing the needs of our diverse 2SLGBTQIA+ community:

• With low-income 2SLGBTQIA+ people facing significant health disparities, Peggy supports Medicare for All to ensure that queer and trans people can access the healthcare they need;
• Peggy has been firm in her stance against the ICE occupation of our state since Day 1 and has made it clear that our immigrant 2SLGBTQIA+ neighbors have a home in our state, and we believe she will never capitulate to federal law enforcement for political expedience;
• With more than 40% of unhoused young people identifying as 2SLGBTQIA+, Peggy has worked to create systems of care that address homelessness with community coordination and compassion.

Peggy Flanagan is the right candidate for this moment. At a time when we are being asked to capitulate to a deeply unpopular President and compromise on our shared values, Peggy has proven that you can run on progressive values and win statewide elections. We know she can do it again.We look forward to supporting her bid to get the DFL endorsement and beyond to November. Let’s go win this thing!
